What happens if I lose my device and FordPass® is active?
Your lost mobile phone can allow access to your FordPass App account(s), which can be used to bypass your vehicle's security. Use the steps below to regain security.
- To secure your mobile number and account, contact your mobile service provider and:
- Cancel your existing SIM.
- Order a new SIM and phone, if needed.
- Perform a FordPass Connect Reset to remove user authorizations.
- Obtain a new or temporary device that is compatible with FordPass.
- Download FordPass from the App Store® (iOS®) or Google Play™ (Android™).
- Open FordPass and initiate a password reset.
- Enter your new credentials on the FordPass login screen after resetting your password.
- Check your vehicle list once FordPass loads.
Proceed to activate your vehicle again for command-and-control access.
Important: Only grant Remote Command permission to accounts you know and trust.
