What happens if I lose my device and FordPass® is active?

Your lost mobile phone can allow access to your FordPass App account(s), which can be used to bypass your vehicle's security. Use the steps below to regain security.

  1. To secure your mobile number and account, contact your mobile service provider and:
    • Cancel your existing SIM.
    • Order a new SIM and phone, if needed.
  2. Perform a FordPass Connect Reset to remove user authorizations. 
  3. Obtain a new or temporary device that is compatible with FordPass.
  4. Download FordPass from the App Store® (iOS®) or Google Play™ (Android™).
  5. Open FordPass and initiate a password reset
  6. Enter your new credentials on the FordPass login screen after resetting your password.
  7. Check your vehicle list once FordPass loads.
  8. Proceed to activate your vehicle again for command-and-control access.

    Important: Only grant Remote Command permission to accounts you know and trust.
