How Do I Perform a Factory Reset on SYNC 4A?
A SYNC® Factory Reset erases all stored data. This includes modem activation, authorizations, call history, text messages, previously paired phones, and navigation favorites. Reset your SYNC 4A system using the steps below.
Important: Before performing a Factory Reset, try a system reset to restore functionality. A system reset does not delete any data stored on SYNC.
Performing a Factory Reset
- Ensure your vehicle is on, in Park, and in a well-ventilated and safe area.
- Tap the Vehicle image at the top of the SYNC screen.
- Tap General.
- Press Reset.
- Tap Factory Reset.
- Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the reset.
