What is the Warranty on Parts?

The warranty coverage for Ford Service Parts and Accessories are not covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Warranty Coverage Period

The following items are covered for 12 months or 20,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first:

  • Sold Over-the-Counter Ford Approved Service Parts except for battery; please ask your authorized Ford Dealership for the appropriate battery coverage for your vehicle.
  • Ford Approved Accessories Installed at the Dealers.

Note: Sold Over-the-Counter Ford Approved Service Parts must be installed by an authorized Ford Dealership only. Any job performed by an unauthorized Ford dealership is not covered by warranty.

Exclusions (Not Covered)

The following items and scenarios are not covered under this warranty:

  • Labor Costs: Expenses related to the removal and replacement of a defective part or accessory.
  • Any damage to Ford components resulting from improper installation by the customer or an unauthorized repair source.

Important: 

  1. When a service part or accessory fails and is replaced or exchanged under Service Parts Warranty, the replacement part or accessory assumes only the remaining, unexpired portion of the warranty on the original replacement part or accessory. The warranty period does not start over.
  2. When a service part fails and is replaced or exchanged under New Vehicle Limited Warranty, the replacement part assumes only the remaining, unexpired portion of the warranty on the original replacement part. The warranty period does not start over.
