What Is The Corrosion Warranty Coverage?

Ford offers a corrosion (rust) warranty when the corrosion is due to defective parts or workmanship. Customers experiencing rust on their vehicle will ask if it's covered under a corrosion warranty.

If any part of the original bodywork of the vehicle is perforated by rust corrosion, the panel(s) affected by the perforation will be repaired or replaced by any Ford Authorised Repairer, free of charge, except where rust corrosion has been caused by external influence (eg. accident, prior repair procedure, sand, salt, stones, hail, chemicals or industrial fallout), regardless of any change in vehicle ownership for up to 5 years (60 months).

Note: The term 'perforation' means a hole that penetrates through the bodywork caused by corrosion from the inside or underside as a result of faulty manufacture.

Note: The term 'bodywork' does not include road wheels and attachments such as bright trim, bumpers, chassis rails, suspension components, exhaust, moldings and hinges. The 'Load Platform' installed on the Ford Transit is also excluded.
