Does Warranty Cover Accidents and Conversions?
The Ford Warranty: New Vehicle Warranty does not cover damage caused by the following:
- Accidents, collision or objects striking the vehicle (including driving through a car wash).
- Alterations or modifications of the vehicle including parts such as the body, chassis or components.
- Tampering with the vehicle, tampering with the vehicle's emissions or the parts that affect these systems such as the exhaust or intake systems.
- Installing any Ford or non-Ford part designed for off-road use (other than a certified emissions part) if the installed part fails or causes a Ford part to fail.
After Market Modifications
The installation or use of any aftermarket product will not necessarily void the Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty. However, if the aftermarket product fails or causes a Ford part to fail, the cost of the repair and any related damage(s) are not covered by your Ford New Vehicle Warranty.
Ford Motor Company does not recommend changes to its products. Only changes that have been thoroughly tested and approved by Ford Engineering should be considered. In this case, Ford part numbers will be issued and parts made available for purchase through our dealers.
