How Do Child Safety Locks Work?

Vehicles With Mechanical Child Proof Locks

When these locks are set, the rear doors cannot be opened from the inside.

The childproof locks are located on the rear edge of each rear door and must be set separately for each door.

  • Left-Hand Side : Turn anti-clockwise to lock and clockwise to unlock.
  • Right-Hand Side : Turn clockwise to lock and anti-clockwise to unlock.

 Vehicles With Remote Child Proof Locks

  • Press the switch to turn them on.
  • Press the switch again to turn them off.

Note: You cannot open the rear doors from inside if you have put the child safety locks on.

Note: You cannot use the rear power window switches with the child safety locks on.
