What Is The Lane Keeping System?
The Lane Keeping Alert System will warn you by vibrating the steering wheel and assistance to help guide you safely back into the correct lane.
A Lane-Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of the lane. Lane Keeping Alert then warns you by vibrating the steering wheel. If you're slow to react or don’t respond, Lane Keeping Aid can provide steering torque assistance to help guide you safely back into the correct lane, unless your indicator is on.
Designed with road trips in mind, the system can provide gentle steering support to help prevent the vehicle from drifting off the carriageway. So advanced, it's been designed to detect unmarked paved roads with soft verges, gravel hard shoulders, and grass edges.
For specific information on your vehicle, refer to your Owner's manual.
Note: Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's attention, judgment, and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions or adverse weather, for use on rural roads at speeds of 65 – 110km/h.
This feature may be an additional cost option on some models. Please contact your local Ford dealer for more details.
