Statistical data show that, of all possible fatal traffic accidents, about 45% of dead lives can be saved if safety belts are correctly used. If both safety belts and air bags can be used, 60% of dead lives can be saved.
The safety belts help secure drivers and passengers to their seats. Safety belts can effectively prevent drivers and passengers against the second collision in case of an accident. Its buffering role can absorb much kinetic energy, so safety belts can alleviate injury to drivers and passengers.

• If safety belt is not fastened, the air bag has little role.

• Frequent check
  Frequently check if safety belts are working properly. Check if belt surface is smooth; if the fasteners of safety belts are in good condition, if the warning tone and warning lights can work normally. Damaged or safety belts not functioning shall be repaired at the Ford dealership immediately.
• For children
  Safety belts for adults shall not be used by children. A child car seat is strongly recomended.

Generally, a car is composed of plentiful parts. All parts are like some small screws. Only after strictly inspected and tested at the factory, these parts can then be assembled onto the car. There are many non-original parts on the market. To list some examples of why original parts are important for the driver’s and passenger’s safety:

• Headlight
  For a headlight, its brightness must be taken into account. If it is too bright or dark, driving safety will be affected.Headlights must be durable. The reflector panel in an original headlight will not easily wear out to affect the brightness.
• Transmission shaft
  A transmission shaft is designed to bear a heavy load. Quality of materials and precision shall is important in an original transmission shaft and this is strictly tested. Otherwise, it might fall off while driving, leading to shaking of the vehicle while in motion, which will quickly damage related parts such as wheel shafts and the steering system.
• Brake pad/disc
  If a non-original brake disc cracks, it will severely affect the driving safety.

An original brake pad is designed strictly according to requirements of durability, brake performance, noise and environmental protection, and passes strict car match validation. Generally, a non-original brae pad cannot ensure the design and quality, so problems such as ineffective brake due to declined thermal brake effect and abnormal system operation due to the incompatibility between ABS and ESP system, frequently occur.

If the car owner cannot detect the problem in time, this may even lead to loss of the whole engine.

When the adaptive cruise control is enabled, your Ford vehicle will automatically brake and keep a certain distance if any vehicle is detected in front. When the vehicle in front pulls away, accelerates or changes to another lane, the speed will return to its previously set cruise rate. At this time, you may notice that the vehicle may automatically accelerate. The driver should stay alert, control the steering wheel, and operate the system if needed.

RA 10913 or the Anti-Distracted Driving Act is a new law that prohibits motorists from using communication devices and other electronic entertainment and computing
gadgets while vehicles are in motion or temporarily stopped on a traffic light or an intersection. A motorist, as defined under this law, is a person who is driving motor vehicle.

Penalties
Violators will be penalized with a fine of five thousand pesos (Php 5,000) for the first offense, ten thousand pesos (Php 10,000) for the second offense, and fifteen thousand
pesos (Php 15,000) for the third offense with a three-month suspension of driver's license. Violations incurred beyond the third offense shall be penalized with the revocation
of driver's license and a fine of twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000).
